A mind-twisting puzzle sweeping through social media has left swathes of Brits scratching their heads.

Brainteasers like this might seem like a bit of fun - or a mere tactic to get the kids quiet for a couple of minutes - but they're actually a great form of mental exercise. In fact, research has shown that regularly solving puzzles can have a positive impact on our central nervous system, which in turn benefits our cognitive abilities including our attention span and concentration levels.

The image above depicts an elephant hunter and his gun, but lurking in the very same picture is actually an elephant playing a game of hide and seek. You have just 15 seconds to find the animal - or you can kiss goodbye to that Mensa membership!

If time is running out and you're still none the wiser, puzzle enthusiast Hectic Nick, who shared the brainteaser on TikTok, has a handy clue. "It's not easy, but try flipping your phone over and you might be able to find it," he said.
